ACG Figure Photo Shoot Contest

As announced at ACG’s Otaku Meet Plus on Sunday, we are holding a contest for figure photo shoots. I will now explain in full the rules of the photo shoot on what to do and what not to do.

Rules:

- You must be able to post online. Like blogs, live journal, MSN blogs, Deviant Art, anything that able us to see your photos.

- Must be around 5 to 10 photos. Must have different angles or poses or far or close up shots.

- Not limited to PVC figures. Gundam model kits (Completed), action figures, toys, painted statues, etc, are all allowed.

- Be creative. We don’t want to see a a figure in a plain wall background or a plain background. Go outside and take pictures with your figure or toy. Create a background of sorts, anything that will catch the eye of the judges. It can be abstract or real as long as the background is creative.

- You got a month to post. After the month is over, we will look at the pictures and judge them.

- To enter, please comment on the bottom of the post with Name, Email and link to your entry.

Examples of shoots you should do: (Hope this tips/ hints help you do a really good shoot)

Mess with the lighting to get the perfect results.

Do close up shots of a figure with a decorated background.

Decorate you background in different ways or go out and use a real life background.

Change the angle of you position or the position of the figure to get good photos.

With a white background but with a decorative bottom is accepted.

Example of what you shouldn’t do: (What we don’t want to see in your shoots)

Don’t have a plain background with just one color. Make sure the background doesn’t clash too much with your figure.

Same goes with background of another color. It is not accepted.

Even if you get a perfect white background shot, it’s not accepted as the contest requires you to have a creative background.
